Lily Labels

Out here on Sammandampalayam Road in Padiyur, things move at a bit of a different pace than in the big cities. We’ve got the shop set up at No. 172 and that’s where all the label work happens. It’s a lot of machines running and the smell of ink and paper most mornings. We started this because there was a need for it in the Kangayam area and we’ve just stuck with it over the years. Some days are spent just fiddling with the settings on the printers to get the colors to look right on the different rolls of tape. It’s not always perfect on the first try, but we keep at it until it looks decent. The locals know us as the place to go when they need tags for their products or just something to stick on a box. We don't have a receptionist or a big sign out front, just the work being done inside. Sometimes we get behind when a machine acts up, but that’s just part of how it goes. We try to be honest about how long things will take. If we're busy, we'll tell you. The road outside can get a bit dusty, but it’s a good spot for us. Most of the folks working here have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the old gear likes to be handled. This place is just about getting those orders printed and packed.
