Lara Knit Wear

Lara Knit Wear is located in Spider Colony, on Spider Palaniswamy Street. It’s a bit of a unique name for a street, isn't it? We’ve been operating out of this location for some time now. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we stay quite busy. Most of our day is spent dealing with the different knit patterns and making sure the machines are running the way they should. Spider Colony is a pretty active area, and we have a lot of neighbors who are also in the trade. We all kind of look out for each other. Sometimes the power goes out and we all end up standing out on Palaniswamy Street talking until it comes back on. It’s that kind of place. We don't have a big fancy office with carpets; it’s mostly concrete floors and metal shelves. It gets the job done. We spend a lot of time packing boxes and labeling them for transport. It’s a lot of physical work, and we usually go home with tired arms and dusty clothes. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here on Spider Palaniswamy Street for a long time and people know we do honest work. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the machines hummimg along. It’s a simple life, but it works for us.
