Lancer Garments

Lancer Garments is located at No. 32 Rajmatha Nagar. It’s a fairly straightforward setup we have here. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the machines ready for the day's work. It can get pretty loud once everything is running, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other over the humming. Rajmatha Nagar is a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time, which is nice because it lets us focus on what we are doing. We handle a lot of different garments throughout the week. Sometimes it's a lot of the same thing, other times it's a mix of different bits and pieces. We don't have a big fancy storefront or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we can get things sewn and packed up. The light in the back room isn't the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps to see what we're doing on the darker fabrics. We've had a few leaks in the roof when it rains hard, so we have to be careful where we stack the finished boxes. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and keeping track of the sizes and colors. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just show up, do the work at No. 32, and go home to our families when the sun goes down.
