Ashvin Appaaral

Ashvin Appaaral is located at No. Extensio 18-13 in Arul Jothipuram 1st Street. It is in the Kumaranathapuram area. The street is usually pretty quiet, which is nice. We have our workspace set up here and it stays busy from morning until evening. Most of what we do involves making clothes. You can hear the sewing machines humming if you walk past. It is a steady sound that we don't even notice anymore. Arul Jothipuram 1st Street has a few other small shops and houses. We know the people who live nearby. Sometimes their kids are playing out on the street while we are working. Ashvin Appaaral isn't a massive factory. It’s a smaller operation where we can keep an eye on everything. We have piles of fabric in different colors and threads everywhere. It gets a bit messy during a big order, but we clean up when we can. The light in Kumaranathapuram is good in the afternoons. We leave the doors open to let the breeze in. It is just a regular group of people working here. We don't have a human resources department or anything like that. If there is a problem, we just talk about it and fix it. We focus on the stitching and making sure the pieces look right. It is just what we do every day at 18-13. We just keep our heads down and work.
