Sd Garments

We started Sd Garments a while back on Pitchampalayam Road and we are still here at No. 3/3. It’s a busy spot in Kumarananthapuram. Mostly we just focus on getting the clothes made right. It’s pretty loud in the workshop with all the stitching machines going all day long. Sometimes we get a lot of orders at once and everyone has to stay late to finish. The local tea shop is right around the corner which really helps us get through the long afternoons. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some big tables for cutting the fabric and the sewing area where everything gets made. People come by the shop when they need things. The neighborhood is mostly other workshops and houses mixed together. It gets quite dusty on the road in the afternoons when the wind picks up. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. Most of the staff live nearby so they just walk or bike in. It’s a straightforward setup. We handle the fabric, do the patterns, and get everything packed up for delivery. Nothing too complicated about it. We just try to keep things moving. The weather gets really hot here so we keep the fans running on high speed. Usually, there's piles of fabric everywhere. It’s just how we work. Some days are smoother than others. We like being in this part of town. It feels like home to us. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and try to stay organized in our own way. We hope to be here for another twenty years.
