Tas - Man Knits

We are right across from the post office at No. 15 - D in Kumar Nagar. It’s a handy spot because if we need to mail anything or pick up letters, we just walk across the street. The post office is always busy, so there’s a constant stream of people and motorbikes outside our window. It’s a bit of a landmark for us when giving directions. Our space isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to keep the business going as Tas - Man Knits. We’ve got the machines set up along the back wall, and they make a rhythmic clicking sound that you eventually stop hearing. It’s just background noise after a few hours of work. The floor is always covered in some kind of lint or wool, no matter how much we sweep it up. We have a small area near the front where we keep the finished knits in bags. The light in Kumar Nagar is pretty good during the day, so we don't have to use the big overhead lights until it gets dark. Most days involve a lot of sitting and focused work on the garments. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that because we are a small crew. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up and answers it. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea because we drink a lot of it. It’s a straightforward setup. We come in, do the knitting, and go home. It’s been our routine for a long time.
