We are located right in the middle of Tirupur at the KPK Trade Centre on Kandasamy Chettiar Street. This city is always moving, especially with all the textile work and garment factories going on around us. KPK Hotels started because we saw a real need for people coming into town for business who just needed a place to stay. We are not trying to be some five-star luxury place with gold door handles or fancy carpets. We just run a straightforward hotel where you can get some rest. Most of our days are spent checking people in and making sure the laundry is done on time. Being at No. 27 means we see a lot of traffic and local noise, but that is just life in this part of Tamil Nadu. We manage the building ourselves. Sometimes the lift acts up or we have to track down a plumber on short notice when a tap starts leaking. It is a hands-on job for us. We do not use fancy scripts when we talk to the people who stay here. We just tell them where the good food is nearby and which roads are blocked for construction. The office is upstairs and usually full of paperwork and tea cups. We have been part of the Coimbatore district landscape for a bit now. It is busy, often hot, and there is always a lot of dust from the street. We just try to keep the rooms clean and the water running. (254 words)
