Senthil Knit Wear

At Senthil Knit Wear, we’ve been working at No. 30 Kongu Nagar 2nd Street for several years. It’s a fairly straightforward setup. We focus on knitwear, which is what this whole area is known for. Our building is a simple two-story structure. The ground floor is where all the knitting happens, and we use the top floor for storage and some basic office stuff. It’s always a bit humid inside because of the yarn and the machines running all day. Kongu Nagar is a busy neighborhood, and 2nd Street is usually lined with parked scooters and bikes. We know most of the people on our block. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just do our work and hope people like what we make. Most of our time is spent watching the machines to make sure nothing gets tangled up. It’s not very exciting work, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to be finished, and we’ll order some food from the place around the corner. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to keep the machines running and the orders moving. It’s a plain and simple business. If you walk down 2nd Street, you’ll probably hear the hum of our machines before you even see our sign hanging out front. We try to keep things tidy but the yarn dust is everywhere.
