National Hangers

We are based at No. 31-A in Appachi Nager. Our workshop is on 3rd Street, directly opposite the Dhanlashmi Theatre. If you are coming for a movie, you will see our sign right across the road from the Dhanlashmi Theatre. We are in the Kongu Nagar area of Tiruppur. Our main job is making hangers. It might seem like a small thing, but every garment shop in this town needs them. We have several machines that bend the wire and shape the plastic all day long. The floor is usually covered in bits of metal and plastic scraps. It is a noisy place, and with the theatre across the street, the whole area is always full of life. Sometimes when a big movie is playing, it’s hard to find a place to park our delivery van. We have a small crew of workers who handle the production. We don't have a sales team or anything like that. People just know we are here and they come to us when they run out of hangers. The building is a bit cramped because we have to store the finished products in big sacks. It’s not the most organized place, but we get the job done. We have been in this same spot for a long time and don't plan on moving. It works for us. We just keep the machines running and try to stay ahead of the orders. The heat from the plastic molding can get intense in the summer, but we have some big fans to help.
