Sukuram Garments

You can find Sukuram Garments at No. 5 Kondappa Gounder Layout, specifically on 2nd Street off the Kongu Main Road. This area is full of small workshops like ours, so there is always the sound of engines and people moving bundles of cloth. We’ve been in this layout for some time now. Our work is pretty straightforward—we take the fabric, cut it to size, and sew it up. We don't have a fancy showroom with mannequins in the window. Our space is for working, not for showing off. The floors are concrete and the tables are worn down from years of use. It’s a bit cramped when we have a big order, but we manage to stay organized enough to get the job done. I usually handle the orders while the rest of the guys stay on the machines. We aren’t trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the clothes we send out are worth the money. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes the work slow down, but we push through it. Being on 2nd Street is nice because it’s a bit away from the heaviest traffic on Kongu Main Road, but still close enough that trucks can find us. We don't do much advertising. People around here know where we are and what kind of work we do. It’s just a regular local business trying to do things right without making a lot of noise.
