If you look for No. 48 in the Snvs Layout, on 4th Street just off Kongu Main Road, that’s where you’ll find Green Knit. It’s a busy part of the neighborhood. We spend most of our time here with the knitting machines. It can get pretty noisy when everything is running at once, but that’s just how it is. We don’t have a big office or a fancy sign. It’s just a place where we work. We’ve been on 4th Street for a while now and we know the other people around here. We handle the knitting and the finishing ourselves. Sometimes things get a little chaotic when we have too many orders at once, but we manage to get through it. The layout is mostly residential and small businesses, so it feels like a community. We aren't a corporate giant. We are just local people making knitwear. We keep our overhead low so we can just focus on the actual work. Some days the yarn arrives late or a machine needs fixing, and we just handle it as it comes. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We don't have a team of writers to make us look better than we are. We are just a small shop on a busy street doing our best to get things out the door every day. It's a simple life. We like it this way and just keep the machines going.
