Vinayaga Clothing Creation

If you go to No. 13 on 6th Street in the L. R. G. Layout, you'll find us on the first floor. Vinayaga Clothing Creation is basically a bunch of sewing machines and cutting tables. Karuvampalayam is a busy part of town, so there is always traffic outside. We do a lot of the stitching and pattern work right here. It gets a bit cramped when we have a big order, but we make it work. The light is pretty good from the windows on the street side. We spend most of our days looking at thread colors and fabric swatches. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break. It’s not some big factory with a hundred people. Just a small crew doing what we know how to do. Some of the machines are old, but they run better than the new ones sometimes. We try to keep things organized, but there's always a pile of cloth somewhere. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now. Most of the other shops nearby do similar stuff, so we all know each other. It’s a quiet way to make a living, just focused on the needles and the thread. You have to be careful with the measurements or everything goes wrong. That’s just how the clothing business is. We stay late when we have to, just to finish the bundles.
