Indusmode Buying Agent

We are up on the third floor of Amar Jony Garden, and Karuvampalayam is where we spend most of our time. It’s a busy spot for this kind of work. People think being a buying agent is a fancy job, but it is mostly just making phone calls and checking fabrics all day. We have been at 19/4 for a while now. Some days it is very quiet and other days we can hardly keep up with the messages. We talk to factories and try to make sure things get made right. It is not always easy because things go wrong in production more than you would think. We just try to fix it when it happens. Usually, I am drinking tea while looking at different cloth samples on my desk. The sun hits the office pretty hard in the afternoon, making it a bit warm. We know the local guys around here well. If you are looking for the office, just head up the stairs past the other shops on the lower floors. We do not have a big fancy sign or anything special. It is just a place where the actual work gets done. Most of our day is spent making sure the orders are moving along to where they need to go. It gets hot in the summer but the breeze up here helps a little bit. We just keep at it, day after day. It is a simple setup.
