Sri Vinayaka Garments

You’ll find Sri Vinayaka Garments over at S. F. No. 572 in Mannankadu, which is part of Karuppagoundam Palayam. It’s a bit of a quiet area, which we actually like. It gives us space to focus on the garment work without too much distraction. We started this place because we had the experience and wanted to work for ourselves. It’s a small operation, mostly just family and a few people from the village. We don’t have a big corporate office or a lobby. When you walk in, you’re basically standing right in the middle of the workspace. There are machines lined up and bundles of fabric waiting to be cut. We do a lot of the work ourselves, from the initial cutting to the final packing. It’s hard on the back sometimes, but it’s good to see the finished product. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone knows someone who needs some sewing done, and they find their way to Mannankadu. We try to keep things simple. We don't have any grand plans for expansion. We just want to keep doing what we're doing and make sure the quality is okay. The building is just a functional space. It stays cool enough in the mornings, but by noon we are all feeling the sun. It’s just the way it is here. We are happy to be part of the local community and keep things moving.
