Karthi Knitwear is situated at 8/79 A in Mahavishnu Nagar, which is right along Angeripalayam Road. If you know the area, it is one of those spots where you can always hear the sound of the knitting machines humming through the walls. It isn't a massive factory, just a place where we handle our knitwear business day in and day out. The road outside can get pretty jammed up during the rush hours, especially with all the two-wheelers and delivery vans. We’ve been at this for a while now. The space inside is mostly filled with rolls of yarn and finished shirts waiting to be packed up. We don’t really have a big marketing team or anything, it’s just the owner and a few workers who know what they are doing. Sometimes the tea man comes by in the morning and that’s when we take a small break. Otherwise, it’s just about getting the stitch right and making sure the sizes are what they should be. We focus on the work at hand without much fuss. Mahavishnu Nagar is a quiet enough place most of the time, except for the usual neighborhood noises. It’s a practical setup for us because it’s close to where most of our helpers live. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can without making things complicated. It’s just us here, doing what we know how to do on this street. There is always something that needs to be packed.
