Arashu Clothing Co.

Our place, Arashu Clothing Co., is located at No. 9/324-j in Gopalan Thottam. We are right on Park College Road in Karaipudur. It’s a good spot, though the traffic near the college can be a bit much in the mornings. We do clothing here. It’s a lot of cutting, sewing, and packing. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a plain building with a door that sticks sometimes. Inside, it's usually a mess of thread and scrap fabric. We don't mind. It shows we’re working. We started out with just two machines and now we have a few more. It’s mostly family and a couple of neighbors helping out. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past on their way to the park. The rainy season is tough because the road gets muddy, but we keep the inside dry. We eat lunch together most days at a small table in the corner. It's nothing special, just a way to make clothes and pay the bills. We've been here long enough that we know all the stray dogs in the alley. It's a simple life. We make things, we sell them, and we start again the next morning. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in, but we usually try to get home before it gets too dark. It’s just a normal way to live.
