Wisdom Garments

This unit of Wisdom Garments is at No. 33/ 13 Valliammai Nagar, Maniyakarampalayam, near Kangeyam Road. It is pretty much the same street as our other place. We spend a lot of time walking between the two spots to check on things. This specific building is where we do most of the finishing work. We have iron tables set up and a few people checking for loose threads. The floor is concrete and gets cold in the mornings. We have a small radio that plays music while people work. It helps pass the time. Most of the workers live nearby so they walk to work. We don't have a big fancy office. There is just a wooden table where we do the invoices. Sometimes the water supply is a problem, so we have a big tank outside. We handle a lot of bulk orders. It gets very busy before the festivals. We have piles of boxes waiting to be picked up by the tempos. The street is narrow, so loading can be a bit of a struggle if there are other cars parked there. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can. It is a honest living, just making clothes day after day and making sure we get paid on time.
