K. M. Garments

Our place, K. M. Garments, is located over at No. 11 4 Thatton Cross Street. It is just off Palladam Road, which can get pretty loud with all the traffic passing by. This building isn't very large, but it fits everything we need for the garment work we do. We have been here for some time now, and most of the people around the street know us. There is always a lot of fabric coming in and out. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the door, especially when we are finishing a big batch. It is a lot of manual work, checking the seams and making sure the sizes are right. We don't use any fancy computer systems for this. It is mostly just pens, paper, and the machines. The light in the morning is quite good in the front room where we do the cutting. We keep the windows open mostly to let out the heat from the irons. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a full crew in, but we manage. You’ll find us working most days until the sun goes down. It's a regular life here on Thatton Cross Street. We just focus on the clothes and getting them ready for whoever is waiting for them. It is honest work and we are used to the rhythm of it by now. No big signs out front, just the address and the work going on inside.
