K. M. Garments

We’ve been here at No. 13 Serankadu South for a good while now. It is right near the K. N P. Colony Post Office, which makes things easy for mail. This part of Dharapuram Road is always moving. Inside our shop, K. M. Garments, we mostly just focus on getting the sewing done. There are a few machines running and a couple of us working through the piles of fabric every day. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular workspace where we handle whatever orders come in. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the thread and cloth pieces lying around, but we try to keep it tidy enough to work. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks. People stop by to ask about prices or just to see what we are making that week. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big front desk or anything like that. Just the work tables and the storage racks. Most days it is quiet except for the sound of the needles hitting the fabric. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we stay busy with the local clothes. If you walk down from the main road, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep the doors open when it's hot to get some air in. It’s just how we do things here. Nothing too complicated, just daily work in this little corner of the city.
