Jayalakshmi Garments

Our place, Jayalakshmi Garments, is situated down at 3/109-5 Thirumalai Nagar Extn Eettiveerampalayam, right off the Perumanallur Road. It is quite a long address to write out every time, but it is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The building is not very big, but we manage to fit in everything we need for the work we do. There are always rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and boxes stacked up near the door. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Perumanallur Road gets a lot of traffic, so there is always a bit of noise from the trucks passing by. We have a small team here and everyone knows their job. Sometimes the stitching isn't perfect on the first try, so we have to go back and fix things. It is just honest work. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to show off. Most people just find us because they know where Thirumalai Nagar Extn is located. The workspace can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders to finish, but we make it work. We just keep our heads down and handle the garments as they come in. It is a steady rhythm of cutting and sewing throughout the week. We are just a local spot doing our part in the textile business without much fuss or bother.
