Island Kniits

Our place is at No. 28 Venkateshwara Nagar, just off Kangayam Road. This is an area where you see a lot of textiles being made and moved around. You can hear the hum of machines from the neighboring buildings throughout the day and into the evening. We focus on knitted goods here. Usually, the warehouse is full of yarn and finished pieces ready to be moved onto the next stage. It’s not a quiet office environment at all. There’s always the sound of packing tape and the smell of fresh fabric in the air. A small team of people has been with us for a long time. Mostly, everyone just gets on with their work without much fuss or drama. Kangayam Road is always busy with transport trucks, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, especially when the traffic is bad. A flashy storefront isn't necessary because most of our business isn't from walk-ins or shoppers. It's more about the people known for years in the garment trade. The office is just a corner with a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are overflowing with papers. Plenty of tea is consumed to stay focused during the long shifts when big orders need finishing. It’s a practical workspace meant for getting things done. Decor or fancy lighting doesn't really help us knit better. It's just a regular business in a busy part of town.
