You can find Hi Win Fashions at 18/3- B Periyathottam, over in the K. Chettipalayam area near Dharapuram Road. This part of town is pretty well known for textile work, and we are right in the thick of it. Our setup is pretty basic. We have our tables for cutting and the machines lined up in rows. It’s a lot of manual work, and we all pitch in where it's needed. Some days we are buried in cotton rolls, and other days we are just busy packing things into plastic bags. The street outside can get dusty with all the traffic heading towards Dharapuram, but inside we just keep our heads down and focus on the sewing. We have been at this location for some time now. It’s a practical space, nothing more. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating because we need every inch of room for the garments. The light in the morning is quite good through the front windows, which helps when we’re checking colors. We know the other shop owners nearby and we all sort of look out for each other. If you’re walking through Periyathottam, you’ll probably hear our machines before you see the door. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day after day, making sure the clothes are ready for whoever needs them. It's a busy little spot in the neighborhood.
