Grass Green Clothing

Grass Green Clothing is based out of No. 23/d/2 on Mariyamman Kovil Street. If you’re in Anupparpalayam, you know the area is always buzzing. Being near the temple means there is always something going on outside, especially during festival times when the music is loud and the streets are packed. Our workshop is a bit cramped, but we make it work. We have sewing machines lined up and everyone has their own little space. We focus on getting the garments finished and trimmed properly. Sometimes we run low on specific thread colors and have to run out to the local market to grab more. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see people working. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. We take our lunch breaks together, usually sitting on the stools near the back door where it's a bit quieter. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got a routine that works for us, and we just stick to it. Every day is about finishing the bundles and making sure nothing gets sent out with a loose button or a bad seam. It keeps us busy from morning until late in the evening. There is always another pile of fabric waiting to be turned into something.
