Lakshanya Garments

We operate Lakshanya Garments out of the Sidco Industrial Estate, specifically at unit Number 33/42. Being in an industrial estate means everything is a bit more spread out, but it’s still very busy with trucks and vans moving in and out all day. Our space is basically a big hall filled with workstations. It’s not very quiet here. There is always a background hum of fans and sewing motors. We spend a lot of time checking the seams on shirts or making sure the colors match up. It’s a lot of standing and walking across the concrete floor. We have a small corner where we keep our records and a kettle for making coffee. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving heavy racks around, but that’s expected in a place like this. We hire people from the local area, so everyone knows each other quite well. It feels more like a big family than a factory sometimes, though we still have to get the work out on time. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy entrance. People who need to find us usually know where the Sidco buildings are. It’s just about getting the garments finished and packed up every day. The work is repetitive, but it’s honest, and we’ve been doing it this way for a while now. Most evenings we finish up late, especially when a big order is due.
