Genesis Fashion

If you're looking for us, we are right across from the Y. W. C. A. over in Rayapuram. The shop is at 74/45, and it’s a spot we’ve called home for quite some time now. We deal with clothes and fashion, but we aren't some high-end boutique with marble floors. It’s more of a local operation where we handle the day-to-day tasks of getting garments ready. The street outside is usually full of life, which keeps things interesting for us. Inside, there’s usually piles of fabric and thread around because we’re always in the middle of a project. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. Most of our customers are locals or people who have heard about us through word of mouth. It's a bit cramped sometimes when new stock arrives, but we make it work. The staff here are just regular people who know a thing or two about stitching and sizes. We’ve got a couple of old fans that hum all day to keep the air moving. It’s a simple setup really. We just want to make sure the clothes are put together well enough for people to wear them. Nothing more, nothing less. Being in Rayapuram means we're part of the neighborhood, and we like it that way. We don't need a fancy office to do what we do. Just some space and our machines to get through the daily work.
