Trams Home Appliance is over at No. 55 Ganga Nagar 1st Street, right near the Bunlow Stop on Avinashi Road. Being so close to the main road means it’s always loud outside, but inside we’re usually busy with our own stuff. The shop is filled with all sorts of things like fridges, washing machines, and smaller kitchen gadgets that people bring in. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a big shipment and have to move things around to make space. The floor is concrete and we’ve got some old fans spinning to keep the air moving, though it still gets pretty warm in the summer. We’ve been in this part of Ganga Nagar for a while, so we know the neighbors and the people who run the other shops nearby. Our day usually starts with checking what needs to be fixed first and what can wait. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, dragging appliances from the front to the back where the tools are. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s talking to someone who walked in or trying to find a spare part in the back room. The tea shop at the corner is where we usually end up during the afternoon break. It’s just a normal business on a busy street, trying to keep things running for everyone around here.
