Vega Knit Wear

Down at No. 5 Kulaam Kathar Garden 2nd Street in Gandhi Nagar, you’ll find our little spot, Vega Knit Wear. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it’s easy to find once you know the area. The street is narrow, and you have to be careful where you park your bike. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of sewing machines and people talking. We don’t have a lot of extra space, so every corner is filled with something—fabric rolls, finished pieces, or boxes. It feels a bit crowded sometimes, but it’s a productive kind of crowded. We start the day by looking at what needs to be stitched and who is doing what. Gandhi Nagar is a place where people work hard, and we try to do the same. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights outside. People who need to find us usually know where we are. We have a small fan that rattles in the corner, and we usually have the radio playing softly in the background. It’s a very normal, local kind of business. We focus on the garments and making sure the seams are straight. If there’s a mistake, we just pull it out and do it again. That’s how we’ve always done things here. It’s simple and it works for us.
