Teena Garments

We’ve been running Teena Garments out of this spot at No. 461/1 Abrirami Nagar in Gandhi Nagar for quite some time now. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop where we get things done. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and getting the lights on before the heat really sets in. You’ll usually find a few of us here working on whatever order is next on the list. There is always a bit of thread on the floor and the sound of the sewing machines going in the back. Gandhi Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the door. We don't really do much fancy talk here. We just take the fabric, cut it, stitch it, and pack it up. Some days are faster than others depending on how many people show up to work. We have a small corner for keeping the finished stacks. It gets a bit crowded when a big shipment is ready to go out. We’ve known the neighbors for years and they often drop by for a quick word or a cup of tea. It’s just a standard local business where we focus on the work right in front of us. No big corporate meetings or anything like that, just us making sure the clothes are ready. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of it all. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time. We just keep the machines running.
