Dhanam Fusing

Dhanam Fusing is located over at No. 5Th Street in Gandhi Nagar Po. If you are looking for us, we are right in the middle of the street where all the other shops are. The work we do here involves a lot of heat because of the fusing machines. It gets quite warm inside, especially during the summer months, but we are used to it by now. We spend our days taking pieces of fabric and sticking them together with the interlining. It is a repetitive job, but it has to be done right or the clothes won't look good later on. The machines make a lot of clicking and hissing noises all day long. Gandhi Nagar Po is a busy area, so there is always someone coming in or out with a bundle of fabric. We keep the floor swept as much as we can, but there are always little scraps of cloth everywhere. It is a simple operation with just a few of us working the tables. We don't have fancy desks or a lobby for people to sit in. You just walk in, drop off the work, and we get to it. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a belt or a heater, but that is just how it goes. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the work moving. Dhanam Fusing isn't a big name, but we are here every day at No. 5Th Street.
