Cotton Wave Designs

You can find Cotton Wave Designs at No 54 A on Angeripalayam Road, near the Gandhi Nagar Post office. It’s a busy area and the road gets quite a bit of traffic during the day. Our place is a simple building that we have modified over the years to fit our needs. We have some space in the back where we do the actual design work and the front part is mostly for storage and packing. It’s not a fancy studio with mood lighting or anything like that. We just have good overhead lamps and a lot of sketches pinned to the walls. Most of the time, we are just sitting around a large table debating how a certain fabric will drape or how a seam should look on the final piece. It is a very practical way to work. We don’t use a lot of fancy jargon to explain what we do. We just make cotton things and try to do a decent job of it. The Gandhi Nagar area is a good place for a business like ours because everything we need is just a short walk or drive away. We’ve grown fond of this little corner on Angeripalayam Road. It has a lot of character, even if the building is a bit old and the stairs creak when you walk up. We just focus on the day’s tasks and keep things moving along without much fuss.
