Velumani Textiles

We are situated out in Pattanikkadu, near Ganapathypalayam in the Mangalam Post area. Our address is No. 3/3L. This is a textile place, so there is usually the sound of machinery or fabric being moved around. We’ve been involved in the textile trade for quite some time now. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. The building isn't anything fancy, just a functional space where we handle the cloth. It gets a bit dusty with all the threads, but that’s normal for this kind of work. We work with a lot of different fabrics. People from the nearby villages come to us when they need materials. We don't really do much advertising. People just know we are here. The roads around here can be a bit rough after it rains, but we’re used to it. We start early in the morning and usually wrap up by evening. It's hard work, and your hands get tired after a long day of handling rolls of cloth. We try to keep things honest and fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s not a high-end boutique, just a local textile spot where we get things done. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from this front door. It’s home for us and our work. We take short breaks for tea when we can and just keep the rolls moving.
