G. P. R. Clothing Company

Our workplace is at No. 21/14 Pethichettipuram 1st Street in Rayampuram. If you walk down the street, you will hear the rhythmic clicking of sewing machines coming from several buildings, including ours. We are a small clothing company, but we stay busy throughout the year. The street is narrow, so when we get fabric deliveries, it is always a bit of a scramble to get everything inside without blocking the neighbors. We have a handful of tailors and cutters who have been with us for a long time. There are piles of thread spools in every color imaginable sitting on the shelves. We do not spend money on fancy decorations; the walls are just plain, and the tables are built for work, not for looking at. Sometimes we stay late when a big order is due, and we all sit around eating snacks while we finish the final packing. Rayampuram is a hub for this kind of work, so we fit right in. We do not have a big corporate office in some city center. We are right here where the clothes are actually made. It is a lot of manual labor, checking for loose threads, and making sure the buttons are on tight. We are not trying to be the biggest name in fashion; we just want to make sure the clothes we send out are decent and sturdy enough for the people who buy them.
