G. K. Apparels

Up on the first floor here at Saminathapuram 2nd Street, we run G. K. Apparels. It’s situated in the Anu Pparpalayam area, and it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for the S. F. No. 445 sign. We’ve been in this building for a bit now. The stairs are a little steep, but once you get up here, it’s a decent workspace. We spend most of our hours cutting fabric and checking the stitching on various garments. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The windows let in some good light during the day, which helps with the detailed work. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room. Usually, you just walk right into the middle of where the work is happening. It’s loud because of the sewing machines, and there’s always someone carrying a stack of shirts or pants from one corner to the other. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We just try to get the orders finished on time so we can start the next one. Sometimes things get backed up, but we work through it. It’s just a regular garment shop doing what needs to be done every day.
