Friends Apparels

Our shop, Friends Apparels, is at 103 B on New Extension Street in Palladam West. This area has been growing a lot lately, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. The building is a simple one-story place with a heavy metal shutter that we roll up every morning. Inside, the space is divided between the front where we keep the finished pieces and the back where most of the actual work happens. It’s a bit of a tight fit when we have a full crew in, but we make it work. The street is wide enough for trucks, which is good because we get a lot of deliveries throughout the week. There’s a big tree just outside that gives us some shade in the afternoon, which we all appreciate. We don't have any fancy computer systems for tracking everything; we mostly use a big ledger and some notebooks that have seen better days. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Everyone here knows their job and we don't need a lot of supervision. We usually take our breaks together, sitting on the stools near the entrance and watching the people go by on New Extension Street. It’s a steady pace of life, and we like the routine of it. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people on the street by name, and that makes the days go by a bit faster.
