Down on 3rd Street in the Eswaramoorthy Layout, that’s where Vpr Fashion Designers Tirupur is based. Being at No. 20/ 3 means we are right in the middle of a busy residential and work area. This isn’t a high-end boutique with a glass front. It’s a workspace where we spend our hours looking at measurements and cutting fabric. Tirupur is a big place for clothing, and we are just one small part of that whole scene. We’ve got our machines set up and the shelves are usually full of rolls of cloth. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with deliveries, but we make it work. We aren't trying to be something we're not. We just do the design work and the sewing for whoever comes through the door. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so it’s a local operation. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. If someone asks where we are, we just tell them to look for us on 3rd Street. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours. We keep things moving, handle the orders as they come in, and try to keep the place organized despite all the threads and needles everywhere. We’ve been working out of this layout for a few years now and know the neighbors well enough to wave every day. It isn't a fancy life, but it keeps us busy.
