Our setup at Mahi International Tiruppur is actually over in Erode, at No. 92 Thangam Nagar. It’s in the Kathirampati Post area, specifically Nasiyanoor. It’s a bit of a drive out from the main city center, which means we have a bit more space but also deal with more dust from the open roads. The building is simple, just a functional space where we handle all our business. We have Thangam Nagar all around us, and it’s a developing area with a lot of construction going on lately. The morning usually starts with checking the mail and seeing what needs to be moved out for delivery. Since we are in the textile belt, things are always moving, even if our specific corner is a bit quieter than Tiruppur itself. The address No. 92 is easy to find if you follow the signs for Nasiyanoor. We have a small desk near the front and the rest of the area is mostly for storage and packing. It’s not a fancy showroom. We wear casual clothes and just focus on the work. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of working, without any big corporate rules. We just make sure the day’s work gets finished before it gets too dark to see the road clearly. It is a very plain and practical operation.
