Doon Apparels

At Doon Apparels, we work out of No. 5/292 in Raja Nagar, over in the K. K. Pudhur area of Avinashi. This region is well-known for its textile work, so we fit right in with the other shops and small factories nearby. Our building is a simple structure where we handle all the stages of making apparel. We have a group of local people who come in every day to help with the stitching and the finishing touches. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine; it’s a real working environment with piles of cotton and thread everywhere. We’ve been at this Raja Nagar address for several years, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The mornings are usually spent checking the machines and making sure we have enough supplies for the week. We don't have a fancy website or a big office staff. Most of our days are spent on the floor making sure the work is being done correctly. Avinashi is a busy place for clothing, and being in K. K. Pudhur keeps us close to everything we need. We just focus on making garments that are sturdy and look alright. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just keep the needles moving and the orders flowing out to the customers.
