J-win Fashions

You can find us at 1/11 C on Mahaliamman Kovil Street. We’re right there in Chettipalayam, just off the Dharapuram Road. J-win Fashions is what we call ourselves, and we mostly do garment work and some fashion pieces for people. It’s a quiet area for the most part, except for when the temple nearby has something going on. We’ve got a handful of machines and a few big tables for cutting the cloth into patterns. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of rolls of fabric delivered at once, but we manage to stay on top of it. We don't have any polished sales pitches or anything like that. We just take the orders and get to work. The building is older, so it stays reasonably cool in the mornings, but by the afternoon we really need the fans going full speed. We usually share a pot of tea in the mid-morning and talk about what needs to get finished by the end of the day. It’s just a few of us here. We don't have a big HR department or anything corporate like that. If there's a problem with a stitch or a fabric, we just talk it out and fix it. We’ve been at this address for a while and we’re quite comfortable here. It’s just about doing a decent job with the thread and the fabric and hoping the people who buy them are okay with the results.
