Dhanam's Knit Garments

We are located on Palladam Road, which anyone around here can tell you is one of the busiest stretches you can find. Dhanam's Knit Garments has been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The air is often filled with the smell of dye and the sound of heavy machinery from the neighboring units. We specialize in knits, so we have these circular machines that take up a lot of room. They aren't new, but they get the job done day after day. The floor is usually covered in little bits of lint and thread, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of working with yarn. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our space is taken up by the production line and the big rolls of knitted fabric waiting to be cut. Working on Palladam Road means we deal with a lot of heat and noise, but you get used to it after the first week. The workers usually bring their own tiffins and we eat together in the small space near the back door. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We don’t talk about missions; we just talk about how many pieces need to be finished by Friday. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially during the peak seasons, but we manage to keep things rolling along. The road outside never stops, and we just keep pace with the traffic and the demands of the trade.
