Deepalakshmi Garments

Deepalakshmi Garments is over at No. 4/248 Selcalakshmi Nagar on Palladam Road. It’s a busy place to be. We’ve been running this garment business for a while now, and we’ve stayed in this same spot because it works for us. If you come by, you’ll hear the sound of sewing machines before you even get through the door. It’s a lot of stitching and fabric work. The rooms are usually full of colorful cloth and half-finished shirts or pants. We have a group of local people from Selcalakshmi Nagar who do most of the sewing. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't have a dedicated sales team or a big marketing strategy. We just focus on the orders we have. Palladam Road is always noisy with traffic, but we don't mind it much anymore. We take our tea breaks together and just talk about everyday things. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we have to pause for a bit, but we always catch up. It’s an honest way to make a living. The building is a bit old, and we could probably use some more space, but we make do with what we have. We don't try to sound more important than we are. We’re just a local garment shop trying to stay busy and keep our workers employed.
