Taj Fashion

The shop is right by the Ctc Bus Depot on Kangeyam Road, so we hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. Being near the depot means there is always a lot of dust and people rushing around outside Taj Fashion. We sell regular clothes, mostly things people can wear every day without thinking too much about it. The shop isn't very big, so we have to hang things pretty high up to fit everything in. Sometimes we have to use a long stick with a hook to get a shirt down for someone to look at. We spend a lot of our time folding things back up after people have rummaged through the stacks. It is a bit of a struggle to keep everything neat when it is busy. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum pretty loud. On hot days, we just leave the front door wide open and hope for a breeze. We know the regular commuters who pass by every morning, and sometimes they stop in just to say hello while waiting for their bus. It is a straightforward business, nothing too complicated. We just show up, open the shutters, and spend the day helping whoever walks in from the road. It is just how things work here on Kangeyam Road.
