Cottony Fashions

Our place, Cottony Fashions, is located at No. 2 Mullai Nagar in the Karumaram Palayam area, right near Mannarai. Being in this part of town means we are surrounded by a lot of garment work. We handle various types of cotton clothes. It’s a practical business. We don’t have a fancy showroom with glass windows and bright lights. It’s more of a workspace where we get things done. Most of the time, the floor is covered with scraps of fabric and thread. We work with a lot of local suppliers and people from the neighborhood. It’s dusty and noisy sometimes because of the machines and the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. We deal with bulk orders sometimes and small stuff other times. It depends on the week. The building at Mullai Nagar is easy to find if you’re familiar with the Mannarai P.O. area. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know exactly where to come. We don’t really do the whole social media thing or fancy branding. We just focus on making clothes that hold up. It’s hard work, standing and cutting fabric or sitting at the stitchers for hours on end. But it’s what we do. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us in the middle of a task. We don’t stop for much, just keep the production moving so orders go out on time. It is a bit loud and messy, but that is just the nature of the garment trade.
