Cossmo Tex Tiruppur

Cossmo Tex Tiruppur is tucked away in the Sowrnapuri Layout, over on 3rd Street near the Kombai Thottam area. If you know the Kangeyam Cross Road, we are not too far from there. It is a typical Tiruppur setup, honestly. We handle textiles, so there are always samples of fabric lying around on every available surface. The place smells like fresh cotton and sometimes a bit of dye. We spend our days checking the quality of the knits and making sure the stitching is up to snuff. It is a lot of back-and-forth with the units. My brother and I started this because we knew the trade, and we have just stayed in this neighborhood ever since. It gets dusty with all the lint flying around, so we have to sweep the floors twice a day. The street outside can get pretty cramped with bikes and the occasional truck trying to turn the corner. We do not have a polished showroom with glass cases. It is more of a working space where we can spread out the rolls of cloth and look at them under the light. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. It is a simple life, focused on the textures and the threads. We are not trying to be the biggest exporters in town, just trying to make sure the orders we do send out are right.
