Aka Garments

You can find Aka Garments right near the Housing Unit bus stop on College Road. Being at number 40 makes it easy for people to spot us when they get off the bus. We’ve been set up here for a good while. The shop is usually full of clothes and we try to keep them organized, though it gets messy when we are busy. College Road always has a lot of students and workers moving around. We see the same faces every morning when the buses pull up. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot. It’s mostly just us working the floor and helping people find what they need. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. If someone likes something, they buy it. We spend a lot of time folding things and making sure the displays look okay. The sun hits the front window pretty hard in the afternoon, so it gets warm inside. We just open the back door to get a breeze. It’s a simple life running a garment shop. We know the neighbors and the bus drivers. We just keep the doors open and do our best to stay busy. It’s not a complicated business, just clothes and customers and the daily routine of the bus stop. We stay until the evening commute ends.
