If you go down Kamaraj Road, you’ll find us at number 370. Centwin Hosiery Mill Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for quite some time. It's an old building, but it does what we need it to do. Most of the time, the floor is covered in bits of thread and fabric scraps. We spend a lot of our day sitting at the machines or checking the boxes before they go out. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The traffic on Kamaraj Road can be a real headache in the mornings. Sometimes the power flickers, and we have to wait a bit to get back to work. We have a small team here. Everyone knows each other’s names, which makes the long shifts go by a little faster. We don't have a big sign or anything. People usually just know where we are by the sound of the equipment or the trucks parked outside. Sometimes we run out of storage space and have to stack things higher than we’d like. It’s a bit cramped in some corners of the mill. We just try to keep the workflow moving so we don't get behind. It's a regular workplace with regular problems. We just show up, do the work at Centwin Hosiery Mill, and go home to our families. It is just the way we have always done things. It keeps us going.
