Casio Garments

Our place is on Cotton Mill Road. It's pretty close to the New Bus Stand, so there's always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. Being No. 4/375, we’re tucked in a bit. We’ve been running this for a while. It’s mostly about cutting and sewing. The room is filled with thread and scraps of cloth. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for deliveries to pull up. We just handle it as it comes. It's just me and a small crew. We don't have a big office or anything. Just a few desks and the machines. We focus on the daily stuff. If someone needs a batch of shirts, we sit down and get it done. The lights are a bit dim in the back corner, but we manage. My father used to work in the mills nearby, which is how we ended up on this road. It's a busy part of town. People stop by asking for directions because of the bus stand. We just point them the right way and get back to work. It’s steady work. Nothing to brag about. Just making garments and trying to keep the machines running without too much trouble. It gets dusty, but that's just part of the job. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day. It’s how we keep ourselves moving through the afternoon slump.
