C Tex Mills

C Tex Mills is located at No. 345-A on Kamaraj Road. We are a small textile unit. If you walk down Kamaraj Road, you can hear the machines humming from our place. It’s a steady sound that we don't even notice anymore. We deal mostly with cotton fabrics and weaving. The floor is usually covered in lint and bits of thread, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the work. We have a handful of looms that we keep running as much as we can. It’s a hot environment, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the big doors open for whatever breeze we can get. We aren't a huge factory with hundreds of people. It’s a small team here. We all know how to fix the machines when they get stuck. We get our yarn delivered on trucks that struggle to park on this busy road. Our office is just a corner with a wooden desk and a lot of samples hanging on the walls. We don't use any fancy sales talk. People come to us because they know we produce decent fabric. We’ve been at 345-A for a long time. The building is a bit old and the paint is peeling in some spots, but the machines are well-oiled and they work fine. We take a tea break at four every day, and that’s when the place finally goes quiet for a few minutes.
