Divya Fashions

We're over at No. 19/13 in the Bridge Way Colony Extension, right on 2nd Street. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time. We do fashion work here, but it's not like the big boutiques you see in the malls. It’s more of a local operation where we handle garments and tailoring. We have a few sewing machines set up and a big table for cutting fabric. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and cloth scraps. We've been in this colony for a while, so the neighbors all know what we do. Sometimes we have a lot of orders piled up, especially when there's a festival or a wedding coming up. We just work through them one by one. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on the stitches. We don't have a big sign or anything, just our name near the door. The light in the workspace is good, which helps when you're working with dark colors or tiny details. My sister helps with the finishing touches. We don't use any fancy language to describe our work; it's just sewing and making sure the clothes fit right for the people who order them. It can be tiring on the eyes after a long day, but we like seeing the finished product. People come by for fittings and we try to get them done quickly. It’s just a normal day for us here on 2nd Street.
