Shree Apparels

You can find us at No. 34 on 2nd Street in Bharathi Nagar. This is in the Kanakampalayam area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, but we’ve got our setup here. Shree Apparels is a small operation. We have a few machines and some tables for cutting and folding. The street outside is narrow, so you mostly hear scooters going by or neighbors talking. It’s a far cry from those huge industrial parks. We like it this way though. It’s close to home for most of us. We start early when it’s still cool out. By midday, it gets pretty hot under the roof, so we have the fans going full blast. We don't have a big HR department or fancy titles. Everyone just does a bit of everything. If someone is behind, another person jumps in to help. That’s just how it goes here in Bharathi Nagar. We don't have a showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just walk into the workspace. It’s usually a bit cluttered with thread and scrap pieces of cloth on the floor. We sweep up at the end of the day, but by the next morning, it’s back to being a busy mess. It’s honest work. We don't make any big claims. We just make clothes and try to stay busy enough to keep the lights on. It’s our little corner of the world.
