If you’re looking for Bees Fashion, you have to head over to 24 Appachi Nagar 3rd Street. We are just off Kongu Main Road. It’s a typical street in this part of town, with a lot of small shops and houses mixed together. Our place is usually filled with the sound of sewing machines or the hiss of the steam irons. We have fabric rolls leaning against the walls in the hallway. It gets a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big production run. There are threads on the floor and scraps of cloth everywhere you look. We aren't the kind of place with a big glass front. We just have a regular door and a lot of work going on inside. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so there’s a lot of chatting about local news while we work. We take our breaks outside on the street when the weather is nice. The 3rd street can get a bit congested in the evenings when everyone is heading home. We just keep our heads down and focus on the patterns and the cutting. It’s a lot of manual work. We don’t use any fancy software for things, just notebooks and pencils to keep track of what we have done. It works for us. We’ve been here at this spot for quite a few years now and it feels like home.
